I made it with the intention to register my way to defreeze my refrigerator. but today, with youtube, I thought, "why not sharing?". so I re-edited it today (10/sep/2007) and placed it here on youtube. I used to do that about a couple of years, and usually on the supplies recharge previous day when the fridge was quite empty. On january, 2006 they told me this problem was by a broken thermostat, and adviced me as I am a "do-everything", I could buy myself this piece on a technical assistance and replace it at home. I was considering a possibility of buying another fridge, but the problem was only thermostat and door's isolation rubbers. so instead of spending R$ 1200,00 (price of a new fridge), I spent only R$ 25,00 (thermostat + rubbers). I could replace them nicely, although I guess the thermostat was not that easy to do as all the "do-everything" told me it was. anyway. Today, I no longer defreeze the fridge that way, but I'll leave this hint here. recommendations: 1 - you must first cut the ice with the water isolating the lamp region, cause there are wires on that region. if you not cut the ice off there, when the entire piece release, its weight will push that region.
